Content Moderation & DMCA Policy
Effective Date: 05.26.2025
Story Circle Hub is a community-driven platform for storytellers, speakers, and event organisers. We encourage authentic, creative expression, but we also take content integrity and legal compliance seriously. This policy outlines our approach to moderating content and responding to copyright concerns under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
1. User-Generated Content
Users may upload or submit content such as bios, event listings, images, videos, links, or written materials (“User Content”). By submitting content, users agree not to post anything:
- That is false, misleading, or defamatory
- That infringes on any intellectual property rights
- That is obscene, abusive, discriminatory, or harassing
- That promotes illegal activity or violates any applicable laws
We reserve the right to remove or moderate content at our sole discretion if it violates these standards or our Community Guidelines.
2. Content Moderation Process
We review flagged or reported content on a case-by-case basis. Actions may include:
- Removal or editing of content
- Temporary or permanent suspension of the user account
- Notification to the content uploader regarding the moderation decision
You may appeal moderation decisions by contacting us at [email protected].
3. DMCA Takedown Requests
If you believe that your copyrighted work has been posted on our Site without your permission, you may submit a DMCA notice to request its removal.
Your DMCA notice must include:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner (or their agent)
- A description of the copyrighted work
- The exact URL or location of the infringing content on our Site
- Your name, address, telephone number, and email address
- A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is unauthorized
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information you provide is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
Please send all DMCA notices to:

4. Counter Notification (If You Believe a Mistake Was Made)
If content you posted has been removed and you believe it was taken down in error, you may submit a counter-notification. It must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature
- Identification of the content that was removed and its original location
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe the content was wrongly removed
- Your name, address, telephone number, and email address
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district (or Florida, if outside the U.S.) and will accept service of process from the original complainant
We may restore content if the original complainant does not file legal action within 10 business days.
5. Repeat Infringer Policy
In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable laws, we may terminate user accounts that are subject to repeated claims of copyright infringement.
